Dev Dev Devsolance’s Adventures in streaming freestyle rap

So, well it fells like its been a eternity!! BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN.  Though i typed several draft blog post, i never did go through and drop them!!

My adventures in streaming have changed my mindset, I am focused on creating great content now. I am a creator, a very liberating feeling. I find alot of pleasure in streaming, and it has provided such a huge outlet for creativity through games and Freestyle Rap. I can’t wait to see where it continues.

I have my best friends wedding this week, so tonight i must 3d print some cake toppers and throw together a short live stream just talking while i work on these 3d prints as well as a new track from the FMB collab group.

In the mean time be sure you check out all my socials but particularly my twitch and twitter where i am most active, though i will continue to update this site much more frequently now.

Thanks
-Dev

Adventure in Live Streaming

Good day everyone!!

It has been some time since i updated the blog, but I have still been 3d printing, and uploading videos to my 3d printing youtube.  As well as doing a lot of live streaming lately primarily featuring freestyle rap and video games on twitch, mixer, and YouTube!  But as of last week my channel on twitch  has been given affiliate status, so now i will only be broadcasting live content there and transitioning to putting more edited content on YouTube!

It has been an amazing journey on the road to affiliate, when i initially started with twitch i had just built my new rig and was eager to use it.  As twitch became a hobby that i enjoyed the art of live production.  These new age media tools being put in the hands of masses to instantly produce live content fascinated me, and i began to invest more time into improving my stream and really finding out who i am as a entertainer.  Low and behold after stumbling around a bit i landed on using my abilities to freestyle rap a bit on stream and it all started there.  Since that day i decided to make rap a FEATURE of my stream not just some value add people use to have follow bait.  And this has worked very well for me and really boosted my growth a lot.  There are so many people playing games and trying to be funny, and well now i feel i bring both that and something more to the table.

Dev is here to stay and grow, so stay tuned to this page and our other related pages for info on things to come and even if you just want to chat! Peep the links below and thanks for being part of Devs Dope Ass Crew!!

Adventure into 3d printing begins.

7/26/2016 I received my first 3d printer, the Monoprice Maker Select (Wanhao Duplicator i3)

And my first two days have been quite fun, I have done several test prints, set up Octopint on my raspberry-pi which is a stunning piece of software and bit the bullet and bought simplify3d to begin working on printing recommended modifications to the printer.  After working through some initial problems I believe I am getting the hang of this and have began to really get this printer dialed in.

Out of the box the printer was super easy to assemble, took me 20 minutes.  I leveled the bed and inserted the provided SD card into the printer and printed ‘1.gcode’ and the print rendered a pretty stunning butterfly.

After that however when I moved on to printing things from Thingiverse I ran into some small problems figuring out the proper settings for new filament and just generally how to configure print jobs to get proper bed adhesion. Which was resolved by increasing my temps on my hot end to 200 degrees Celsius and the hotbed to 70 degrees Celsius.

Fixed other issues with retraction and nozzle wiping from settings within simplify3d

Once the optimal profile was designed I started getting alot better prints and moved on from calibration type prints to printing some actual functional parts.

I look forward to continuing my journey into the realm of 3d printing, so far i love the machine intimacy. Each machine has its quirks and even each batch of filament varies slightly from my observations. I love that you need to know your piece of hardware to do this all right.
